Cathy Elliott García


Cathy Elliott Garcia is a vocalist, composer, arranger, music director from New York City. She has composed music for the Richmond Symphony Orchestra and Cleveland Chamber Symphony and was an American Composers Forum grant winner.

She has composed music for numerous theater productions including works by New York's Signature Theater Company and AMAS Musical Theater Company.

She has two self-produced cds: The Turning Point, and Remembering Billie, a recording that was part of a tribute for Billie Holiday’s 100th birthday and played in Mexico. She has travelled to Ecuador, Argentina, Zimbabwe and South Africa to perform. She is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory and the Aaron Copland school of Music at Queens College.

We’ve invited Cathy to participate in Lemon Rebellion because of musical gifts and indomitable spirit. We believe that connecting with meaningful music, poetry, and art creates an emotional space to relax and enjoy another person’s creativity and spirit, and that each of us can moved to see things in new and beautiful ways in our own lives through this experiences.
